“Everyone should use whatever gift he has received to serve others,
as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10).

A steward of the church is a member who supports the church above and beyond the nominal annual fee. Stewards respond to the call to serve as servants of Christ and work to not only sustain the Church’s mission, but also to enhance that mission through a profound commitment of financial support - each according to their means.

Stewardship is the privilege and honor of directly supporting God’s work on earth through the Church, by using our time, talent and treasure. God has been generous to us in our lives and He expects us to be generous toward the work of Christ and His Church. All that we have comes from God and we are called to return a portion to Him and His Church in thanksgiving. Our Stewardship commitment is the tool by which the Church fulfills her ministry for us and for others. It enables our parishioners to give voice to their commitment each year. This commitment, both personal and financial, enables us to meet our obligations and to continue to nurture the growth and development of our church.

A pledge commitment is an important way to make the Christ and His church a priority in our lives and is a living symbol of our care for Christ’s church. The Armenian Church of St. James could not run without its parishioners and those who have embraced this church as their home. With their continued support, we can sustain the vision of our church recognizing the importance of faith, family, and fellowship.

If you would like to make a stewardship offering, please send it to St. James Armenian Church.  If you have any questions or would like to discuss stewardship, please feel free to contact the Pastor or the church office by calling (804) 282-3818.

May God bless you and may you always know the richness of God’s love for us all.
